Used Peninsular Engine 400TA 310HP

This is a used Peninsular engine acquired through a trade that has been sitting inside shop in dry storage. The story on this unit is that it had a fairly recent long block (one of the updated long blocks) and the hours on the long block portion are around 500 hours. The rest of the engine has more hours on the components due to being refreshed. This engine is only intended for replacement use of an existing Peninsular engine, components needed such as instrument cluster and wiring to helm are not included (should already be in your vessel), but what you choose to do with the engine is your business.

The engine needs the following components:

Injection Pump (runs but has a hot no start issue)

Heat Exchanger (needs sea water side cleaned, may work, may not)

Oil Cooler and Transmission Cooler (restricted flow)

Tubing from oil cooler to aftercooler assembly. (just patched, better with a new one)

We would prefer to sell this engine as-is for repair, but willing to replace the mentioned components and test-run and put some hot minutes on the engine running to see it's condition running. Enough to see how stable it runs and measure blow-by. Will make video of engine running.

Included the sale (regardless of as-is or repaired) is a new gear reduction starter and proper 5" exhaust elbow (was missing).
