TARC Complete Rebuild Peninsular Marine 6.5L Turbo Aftercooled

This service offers to re-manufacture the engine you have back to great cosmetic and mechanical condition ready for years of use. Most engines deployed have been in vessels for over 10-years and some as many as 20 or more years. This service provides the complete amount of procedure necessary to restore your engine back to great cosmetic and mechanical condition with several improvements. Select the options that suite your needs and budget. This engine rebuilding option requires your existing engine to be sent to us for the rebuilding process and cannot be exchanged. There is another similar product available on this store that takes this same rebuilding process towards an exchange. Additionally a complete new engine is also available.

Each engine assembly is taken completely apart, all marine components will receive some form of cleaning process from bead, soda, sand, and chemical. This allows us to take the parts that will be re-used back to the base material for proper inspection and future painting. Components that are re-used that can be pressure tested are also tested for leaks and defects that will affect usability.

All hosing and hose assemblies are replaced, the turbocharger is discarded and replaced with new current generation. The heat exchanger (radiator) will also be replaced with the copper version of the cooler, won't even bother testing your old, it'll be discarded. The oil and transmission coolers (standard) will be replaced as well. Optionally you can select to upgrade the coolers to the more durable copper nickel varieties. The engine coolant pump will be replaced and sea water pump will be replaced with a new unit. Electrically the engine will receive a new alternator and new starter (and be upgraded to gear reduction and soft-start system). The engine will also receive a new wiring harness and the update components to the glow plug timer setup. Instructions will be provided to integrate the improved glow plug control into existing instrument panel. The fuel system will also be replaced including a new injection pump, injectors, and injection lines (likely very rusty on yours). The exhaust outlet (aluminum 90 off the turbo to the exhaust system) is also included. Pricing excludes other variants beyond the standard 4" unit. Stainless steel models or non-Peninsular outlets excluded from replacement, only variants offered in the store are available. Pro-rated pricing will be quoted to match your exhaust outlet to your engine configuration with our stocked elbow options.

What's re-used are the exhaust manifolds, crossover, the bellhousing, the brackets, the intake manifolds, pulleys, fuel and emissions tubing, lots of bolts, oil pan, and the aftercooler assembly is taken apart and cleaned pressure tested and re-assembled. Optionally you can select to have a new aftercooler assembly installed on the engine and disregard the old. Another option is available in that you can select to simply replace all the exhaust manifolds (entire exhaust system) with new units.

This product and service carries a 12-month limited parts warranty on the engine. This limited warranty only covers service parts required to repair an engine that develops a defect. If engine assembly repair requires removal of engine (or internal engine issue) then this must be sent back to Unique Diesel for repair. Only repairs made at Unique Diesel's facility include labor, repairs made in the field warranty services only cover parts. Warranty does not include shipping of complete engine assembly to or from Unique Diesel nor does it cover labor costs to remove and replace an engine assembly. Warranty coverage does not cover electrical components re-used or tested during the re-manufacturing process (examples: relays, breakers, and gauge senders).
